Homework Term Three Week Two

Thanks everybody for an excellent first week back. It was great to read your holiday stories and hear all the interesting things people have been doing. Another busy week lies ahead, you’ll need to be well organized, enjoy it!

Task One: Reading

Our big homework focus for this term is going to be our personal reading. As I told you last week I’ve been reading a book called “The Reading Zone” by Nancie Atwell. She says that research suggests that reading can increase our abilities in other areas also. You have each set a page in your book you will reach by Friday, make sure you put the time in to getting there, reading at least 20mins each night.

Task Two: Current Events

We have organized our new timetable for the week. If you’re on the roster for this week then please put in the time to complete this to a high standard. Remember you will be receiving feedback from your classmates.

Task Three: Maths Times Tables grid

Our cut off this week is lowered to 4min! If you didn’t make the cut off in class on Monday, or if you were close and know you need to keep working on your basic facts, please complete a grid in your homework book each night. I will collect homework books on Fri to see your progress.
