Task One:
Find out which birds live on Ulva Island.
Choose your favorite of these birds and present a small profile of that bird,
giving some of the key information we discussed in class. Please do this on
a separate sheet of paper so it can be put into your camp book later.
This brochure is a good starting place à http://www.doc.govt.nz/Documents/parks-and-recreation/places-to-visit/southland/ulva-island-brochure.pdf
Task Two:
Spelling
This week we begin our spelling routines.
Please make sure you are following the procedure properly. Make sure you fill
in the ‘Part/Sound’ column and the ‘To learn’ column and you are tested each
night at home ready for a final test at school on Friday.
Task Three: Current
Events
See the timetable on the board in Rm 6 and please
be prepared, complete the tasks outlined in the Current Events scrapbook and
return the book to school the next day ready to present to the class and lead a
discussion.
Task Four:
Reading
Please spend at least 15 minutes each night
reading your book. Remember to also bring your book to school every day to
read. Be ready to share with me and with others in class what is happening in
your book. Let Mr Yeoman know when you’ve finished your book and need library
time to get a new one.
