Task One: Rakiura
Camp Research
While on camp we will be doing some voluntary
conservation work for a group called SIRCET. Check out http://www.sircet.org.nz/ and present a
small poster similar to last week.
-What do they do?
-Why are they doing this work?
-Where do they do the work?
-When did they start? How long? Timeline of
events?
-What is the benefit of the work they do?
Results? Effects?
-How do they do the work?
Task Two:
Spelling
Normal spelling routine this week. Please
make sure you are following the procedure properly. Make sure you fill in the
‘Part/Sound’ column and the ‘To learn’ column and you are tested each night at
home ready for a final test at school at the end of the week.
Task Three: Current
Events
See the timetable on the board in Rm 6 and please
be prepared, complete the tasks outlined in the Current Events scrapbook and
return the book to school the next day ready to present to the class and lead a
discussion.
Task Four:
Reading
Please spend at least 15 minutes each night
reading your book. Remember to also bring your book to school every day to
read. Be ready to share with me and with others in class what is happening in
your book. Let Mr Yeoman know when you’ve finished your book and need library
time to get a new one.
