Homework Term Two Week Seven (June 2-5)

I hope everyone’s had a great long weekend and ready to get back into the second half of the term.

Task One: Spelling

We have spelling happening again this week. In class we have done your ‘tooling’. If you need to repeat this at home to be confident with your words for this week then please do. Test your words every night and be ready for a spelling test at the end of the week.

Task Two: Current Events

If you are on Current Events any time this week (see the timetable on the board in Rm6) please be prepared, complete the tasks outlined in the Current Events scrapbook and return the book to school the next day ready to discuss with the class.

Task Three: Reading

Please take your reading book home every night and read for at least 20 mins each night. Be sure to have your book at school each day also. Every second Friday, when you’re not at Tech, we will be completing our personal reading review and sharing in our reading groups as we did in class last Friday.

Task Four: Poetry

Find a poem that you particularly like by a New Zeland poet. Either copy it into your book or print it and glue it in. Write a paragraph explaining why you chose this poem and what you especially like about it. Do some research on the poet, find a picture of them, think about the kinds of things that might be important to find out as we discussed in class. Be prepared to report back.
