Homework Term Two Week Eight (June 8-12)

Task One: Spelling

We have spelling happening again this week. In class we have done your ‘tooling’. Test your words every night and be ready for a spelling test at the end of the week.

Task Two: Current Events

If you are on Current Events any time this week (see the timetable on the board in Rm6) please be prepared, complete the tasks outlined in the Current Events scrapbook and return the book to school the next day ready to discuss with the class.

Task Three: Reading

Please take your reading book home every night and read for at least 20 mins each night. Be sure to have your book at school each day also. On Friday in class we will be completing our personal reading review and sharing in our reading groups as we did in class two weeks ago. If you’re still reading the same book that is fine, you can update your group on what’s happened since you last met.

Task Four: Poetry Eisteddfod

We have two weeks until our class Eisteddfod poetry recital will be taking place. Now is the time to be choosing your poem. As you look for a poem remember the guidelines that we’ve talked about in class and keep the assessment criteria in mind. You need to have a copy of your chosen poem glued into your homework book by the end of this week. Next week (Week 9) will be for practicing and the following week (Week 10) we will have our class Eisteddfods. The school Eisteddfods will be in Week 11.

Work completion: Maths mapping task

If you’ve not handed in your maths mapping task that must be completed in your own time and handed to Mr Yeoman by Friday at the latest.
