Mr Yeoman
Hi year 8 parents
As we only have a few weeks left of school at St Gerards for our year 8’s I thought I better get in touch regarding their get together.
The year 8’s have requested in a letter to Mr Yeoman that they would like to go out to the lake. How does everyone feel about meeting at the lake on Thursday 13th at the jetty’s on the rowing club side of Lake Dunstan at 5.30pm. This way everyone can swim off the jetty’s as well as do some boating. We will take our boat out & if any other families wish to take theirs then please do so.
To keep it simple and easy for food, I thought if everyone paid per head for each family member attending then we will just do burgers with meat pattie and coleslaw. I will confirm how much later this week. If you could please let me know how many will be attending from your family before Friday please that would be great. You could email me on healeyclan@hotmail.com or ph / txt on 027 9212601.
We will need to have a plan B if the weather is no good. We could meet at school and run a quiz & other activities? If you would be able to help out with the organising of this please let me know, I would really appreciate it.
The year 8’s did ask if they could camp and stay out at the lake on the Thursday night. Obviously this would require at least 3 parents to stay and supervise. I can’t commit to help with this due to work which I’m sure is the case with many of you. Before we let them know that it’s not possible, is there any parents who be prepared to camp out with the children?
Please get in touch if you have any questions, look forward to hearing from you soon .
Many thanks
Michelle Healey
