MUFTI DAY

Dear Parent/Caregivers

Tomorrow there will be a Vanuatu fundraiser day. We will be holding a series of fun activities for a small cost. All the money we raise will go to the 'coins for bricks' trust and will help rebuild local schools in Port Vila. The activities we have are:

Mufti day-$gold coin

Easter rock paintings $1.00

Face painting $1.00

Guess how many jelly beans in a jar$0.50

Baking for sale: $1.00 a piece

The activities are not compulsory, but we would like to have every student, wearing mufti if possible.

Thank you
Molly and Emma

Homework Term one Week Seven (March 9-13)

Task one: Maths

-Statistics project: By now you have all collected your data from school. You now need to complete your graphs and everything else that is required on your poster (if you need reminded see your project outline glued in your maths books). Remember we have to include all the sections from the Statistical Enquiry Cycle on our poster (remember this is also in your maths book). We will have time during the week to check in with Mr Yeoman but the rest of the work must be completed in your homework time.

Task Two: Current Events

As we are getting pretty busy during the school day we will only have current events 2-3 times each week for the rest of the term. If you are on Current Events any time this week please be prepared, complete the tasks outlined in the Current Events scrapbook and return the book to school the next day.

Task Three: Spelling

Well done everyone on the general high standard so far and on the excellent Friday test scores. Once again you should each have your list of words for this week. Complete your ‘tooling’ if you haven’t already in class. If you need to repeat this at home to be confident with your words for this week then please do. Test your words every night and be ready for another spelling test on Friday.

Task Four: Reading

As usual please spend at least 15 minutes each night reading and enjoying your book. Please remember to bring it to school each day.

Notices:
·      Technology at Terrace this week, Friday March 13th.
·      Teacher only day next Friday March 20th.

Week 7 already! Keep up your good work!
