Well done everyone on such a great job of
research last week, I was very impressed with the efforts of most of you!
Because of your hard work we have no topic homework for this week, I expect
your other tasks to be completed to an extra high standard as a result. Let’s
get our spelling off to a great start! Many of you will also be working on your house leadership speech.
Task One: Current
Events
If you are on Current Events any time this
week (see the timetable on the board in Rm 6) please be prepared, complete the
tasks outlined in the Current Events scrapbook and return the book to school
the next day.
Task Two:
Spelling
You should each have your list of words for
this week. In class we have done your ‘tooling’. If you need to repeat this at
home to be confident with your words for this week then please do. Test your
words every night and be ready for a spelling test on Friday.
Task Three:
Reading
Great to see people getting organized with
reading books and enjoying some reading time last week. Please spend at least
15 minutes each night reading your book. Please write a short summary of what’s
been happening in your book (around 5-10 lines). This would include the main
events and a description of some of the main characters. I’m looking forward to
hearing about your books.
