Must Dos & Homework - Week 9 & 10
Hi everyone. Hoping you all had a beaut Otago Anniversary weekend, and of course we're now in Holy Week and anticipating Easter. The next two school weeks are very short so you'll need to be well organised. Here's your Must Dos for this week and next, this must all be completed by next Fri April 6th. Eisteddfod - Scripture Reading Challenge 2018
- Your scripture reading can
be anything you like from the bible, eg. a parable, a psalm, a reading
from the Gospels, an Old Testament story.
- Introductory speech –Y7/8: 1 minute (times are
approximate). This is a time to use the main ideas or theme of your
scripture reading to make up a small speech explaining what the reading
means to you, without retelling the reading – ie. ‘What the story of the
Last Supper tells/demonstrates/means to me is ......
- Planning and marking - Remember as you prepare
to look at the marking schedule so that you do exactly what is expected of
you so that you score as highly as you are capable of! Give it everything
and do your best!

- Timeline – Your Eisteddfod
Scripture reading must be ready to present to the class on Mon 9th
April.
- Whole school eisteddfods will be on Thursday 12th April–names
will be in the school newsletter.

River Monitoring - First small group trip notice.
Please Note : Everyone in the class will have an opportunity to take part in this program throughout the year. This is the first of several trips. See below for students involved in this first trip.

Monitoring - Trip Number One
Tues
27th March 2018
· What
- In 2018 Room 6 are continuing working on our long term science project,
monitoring water quality around the Manuherikia River catchment.
· When
– Tues 27th March. 9am-3pm.
· Where
– Meet at school. Travel all around the Manuherikia catchment, including Chatto
Ck, Thompsons Ck, Lauder Ck, Dunstan Ck, Ida Burn and Manor Burn
· What to bring &
wear – Wear mufti. Warm clothes, rain
jacket, beanie, sunhat, gumboots or old shoes, sunscreen, lunch, water bottle
and any medications.(Optional: camera - you are responsible for this!)
· Team members on this

Morrell, Olivia Dyson, Hannah O’Connor, Mika Tait, Shannon Kelliher.
