Homework Term Four Week Three



Kia ora Room 6. For week three of the term we will have a very similar homework set up to last week.

Task One: Current Events

This week we will have Current Events again. Please check the timetable on the board in class to see if you are on.

Task Two: Personal Reading

-Personal reading pages must be completed by next Friday but please go for it and feel free to read more! The more the better! Enjoy!

Task Three: Spelling testing

We have new words and activities for this week. We’re up to list 11. Please look at any of your writing work that I’ve marked to see if you have extra spelling words to add.

Task Four: Te Reo practice

Please practice your new Te Reo learning that you received this week. Have fun learning it and be ready to use it in class.

Wed 1st Nov – Thyme Fest Mural Art session for those students involved
-Thyme Fest Music workshop 10-12 Tim, Nia, Rafferty, Hannah, Jacob
-Thyme Fest Schools concert 12-1
-Native garden prep in afternoon(Charis and Hannah)

Thurs 2nd Nov – All Soul’s Day Cemetery visit in the afternoon. Early morning tea and lunch.

Homework Term Four Week Two



Task One: Current Events

This week we will have Current Events on Wed and Thurs evenings. Please check the timetable on the board in class to see if you are on.

Task Three: Spelling testing

No new words or activities this week after the holiday Monday and athletics day on Tues. Make sure you’re ready on Friday to makr your activities and test your words from last week.

Task Four: Te Reo practice

We will be having a fun activity time in class on Friday, practicing & testing your latest Te Reo. Practice and be prepared! Teach your family!

Mon 23rd – Labour day holiday

Tues 24th – School Athletics Day @ Molyneux park

Wed 25th – School Athletics day postponement day. If this is not needed then:
                  -Jewellery making technology with Mrs Chamberlain
                  -Enviro event, volunteering at Lookout Native Reserve. Wear PE gear.

Fri 27th – All Must Dos to be completed.

This coming weekend Oct 28th  - Light party & Thyme Festival begins
                                              Oct 29th – School fair

Homework       Term Four       Week One

Task One: Current Events

We haven’t done this for a while but will restart this week. Please check the roster in class and if you are on then please be organized, complete the task to a high standard, and be prepared to share your news confidently, clearly and thoughtfully with the class.

Task Two: Personal Reading

-Please make sure you complete your personal reading pages by Friday. As you finish books make sure you add them to your reading log and let me know.
-I look forward to receiving Book Letters, and hearing Book Talks, from all of you very soon.

Task Three: Spelling testing

Test your spelling words each night and make sure your activity is completed & marked by Thursday.

Task Four: Holiday Recount/Cardboard City Article

You will have time in class to discuss, draft and edit a holiday recount or a Cardboard City newspaper article. I would like to collect a published copy from everyone by the end of the week so please publish at home and share with me as a google doc by Friday morning. This is a chance for you to show me your best writing and how much you have improved throughout the year so far. Please take the time and put in the effort to do your absolute best work!
