Homework Term 3 Week 2

Task one: Writing

Please complete a published version of your narrative story. I am keen to see your best hand writing so please publish by hand on 1 sheet of refill paper.

Task Three: Spelling

Normal tasks this week. Please make time to test yourself properly each night.

Task Four: Reading

Please spend at least 20 minutes each night reading your book. Remember to also bring your book to school every day to read.

Task Five: Maths

Times tables grids for those who didn’t complete theirs in class on Monday. One grid each night in your homework book please.

Notices & Dates

-Swimming this Tues morning and every Tues morning this term. Please remember togs and towel, and goggles if you have them.
-Skating immediately after swimming on Tuesday. Bring warm clothes.
-River monitoring group with Mr Hogue this Wednesday afternoon Aug 3rd.
-Waste audit this Thurs Aug 4th.
-Cross Country is next Wed Aug 10th. We will be training for PE- please wear PE uniform, running shoes and tracksuits.

Monday Morning Aug 1st

An important message regarding next Monday morning. Room 6 will be playing ice hockey and curling at 9am. Students will need to meet at the ice rink 8.50am. Please wear PE gear, school tracksuits and extra warm clothes.

The following day, Tuesday Aug 2nd, we will be swimming at 9.15am, followed by our final session at the ice rink at 10am. Meet at the pool at 9am with gear for swimming and skating.

Homework Term 3 Week 1

Task one: ODT Extra Current Events Quizzes

Make sure you have completed all your quizzes from the July edition of the ODT Extra so that we can mark them at the end of the week. You will have some time in class but will need to use some homework time also.

Curling tournament 2016

For those players involved (Alannah, Mekah, Seb, Olly, Liam, Joshua, Thomas, Hannah)

·       Arrive at school normal time.

·       Briefing at 9:45. Play starts 10:00 sharp. All finished with prizegiving at 2:30pm. Mrs Waldron will be with you for the day and will arrange transport.

·       Wear school tracksuits and warm clothes.

·       Bring a pen for your scoring cards.

·       Bring a broom for sweeping your stones.

·       Hot chips, sausages and hot drinking chocolate is available for lunch. Bring coins if you want this.

Homework Term Two Week Ten

Task one: Record of Learning books

Please spend some time this week showing your parents your record of learning books and discussing your achievements and your goals. Glue in your summary sheet, fill it out with your parents and return the book to Mr Yeoman by Friday.

Task Two: Current Events

Normal routine this week, check on the board for the timetable. Put in the time and effort and thinking to be well informed about your chosen article.

-This week we look at Measurement of Volume & Capacity. On Tuesday please bring an empty container of any kind from home that has a known volume (eg milk bottle, icecream pottle ,yoghurt container etc).

-       Rm 6 shared lunch to farewell Alannah Thursday 7th July.
-       School poetry Eisteddfods Thurs 7th July, 1.30pm.

-     ODT Writing competition entries dues on July 8th.
